Did You Know

  • A 1/4 inch air leak @ 7 bar pressure over a one year three shift operation will cost over Rs 4,80, 000 per year in energy @ Rs 4.21/KWH.
  • A 100 HP air compressor can produce 115 litres of condensate per 24-hour period.
  • A 0.7 bar pressure loss in a system will require 5% increase in energy to compensate.
  • A 50HP Air Compressor operating three shifts consumes Rs 11.54 Lakhs, a 100 H.P. Consumes Rs 23 Lakhs and a 150HP consumes Rs 35 Lakhs in Electricity per year
  • A poorly Maintained Compressed Air System can consume as much as 15% more in energy to operate.

Compressed Air Management Program

Leakage management has the greatest savings potential in a compressed air system. In fact more than 40% of the savings potential can be achieved by getting the leakages under control. Leakage management also has the shortest pay-back. The majority of CAMP projects have a pay-back period that is less than 6 months.

Systel’s CAMP is India’s most used system for leakage management. The know- how and information based on almost 93 fully documented projects from virtually all types of industry, benefits all Systel clients. It puts us in a unique position to take full responsibility for the complete process, starting from the detection of leakages until they are repaired and the results fully verified.

What do "small" leakages cost?

Your total leakage volume consists of a large number small leakages. Missing just a few becomes very expensive.

Leakage θ / mm Volume / m3 Per Year Cost per Year
( Rs )
0.5 7709 10,407.15
1 38500 51,975.00
1.5 65700 88,695.00

Documentation & Analysis : Systel's CAMP is a Proven Concept. All documentation is done on-site. The results and key reports are provided to you before we leave your site. You then have access to reports and key data that allow you to initiate the repair process immediately. Systel's CAMP also have a number of functions that allow you analyse causes and give you the key financials of the project and track development over time.

Monthly & Annual cost of leakages :
Compressed air is expensive. Most companies are aware of this but how expensive? This table shows the cost based on Rs. 0.69 per M3 in a 24/7/365 operation with a 20% leakage rate. Most systems leak between 20 and 30%. The table below shows your cost savings potential based on your consumption.
